Can you feel the silence ?
The Creator could not have been more generous when he designed the Kinzigtal and formed this part of the Black Forest.
It is difficult to imagine a more natural and perfect landscape as it basks peacefully in glorious sunshine.
And yet it is so diverse. The River Kinzig winds its way down from its small beginnings in the higher regions of the Black Forest to the sun-drenched vineyards of the Upper Rhine lowlands. Past dreamy valleys and grand Black Forest farms, the Kinzigtal used to provide raftsmen, tanners and local farmers with food but only in return for hard work. Today the local people are free to enjoy the diversity of this landscape as they wish: in pursuit of any of an infinite number of activities imaginable, listening to the wind, breathing in the forest air or simply letting the mind rest. Everything is permitted – with one exception - not to deprive the inhabitants of the Kinzigtal of their home...
The Black Forest's Central and Northern Natural Park
The Black Forest's Central and Northern Natural Park is the largest of its kind in Germany. It incorporates many special regional features and contributes to their preservation and sustainability.
