Historic Storage House/Old Mill in Oberharmersbach
The storage house dates back to 1761 and in 1905 the building was taken down where it originally stood, next to the “Schwobelenzenhof” in the “Holdersbach” valley, and rebuilt where it stands now three years later. It now houses a small cottage museum.
In 1989 the millstones of the “Old Mill” started turning once again. It stands now where the “Pauli Mill”, the last of its kind in Oberharmersbach, used to stand. It works perfectly and gives you a good idea of how such a mill, powered by a water-wheel, was built and worked. The grinding mill is over 100 years old.
