Cottage Museum and Distillery in Steinach
The museum is next to Steinach’s landmark the “Schwarzer Adler” (Black Eagle), a half-timbered house built in 1716. The exhibits are divided into various categories. In one area you will find a furnished farmhouse living-room, traditional costumes and the “Klausenbigger” figure.
A collection of minerals and a corner dedicated to the timber transportation by river are on the ground floor. The top floor is dedicated to various handicrafts and farm life, including a small till as would have been in existence 100 years ago and which would then have been an important source of income for the farmers.
