Motive: Museum im Herrenhaus Hausach
Museum in the Manor House in Hausach
One of the most striking buildings in Hausach that was built in 1760 for the managers of the foundry belonging to the Fuerstenberg family. The top floor of the building was renovated in 1989 and houses special exhibitions that alter from time to time as well as a modern exhibition that is on view permanently. They all go under the heading “Everyday Stories” and give you a glimpse into mining, farming, handicrafts, industry as well as the railway. It also shows you how a small town in the Kinzig Valley has developed over the years. A unique geological speciality is the largest “tourmaline” ever found in the Black Forest.
