Old hand-carved crosses for graves, ornaments and a number of objects of value can be seen here. The history of mining in Wittichen is also represented. Showcases full of objects dating back to the times when the mines were still in use. There is also the possibility of digging yourself nearby as well as a geological trail to follow and gather further information.

The church is open every day from 8.00 a.m. - 6.00 p.m. Convent at Wittichen: The Beguine sister Luitgard founded a hermi-tage in 1324. This was later recognised as a convent. The story goes that a number of miracles happened at her grave and that is why ever since then people have made and still make their pilgrimages to Wittichen.
