Dorotheenhütte Wolfach
The history of making glass in the Black Forest goes back a century. The only factory which still practices the art of shaping molten glass by blowing it and then cutting it by hand is the “Dorotheenhuette” in Wolfach. You even have the chance to have a go yourself. The glass museum takes you back 2000 years and in the cinema you can find out how lead crystal glass was made from the molten glass to the finished product. All the glassware that is made here is on show and for sale. 35 small huts and market stalls keep the Christmas spirit alive all year round.
